Mom Hack of the Day

Fix those DVDs Your Kids Scratched!
Kids ruined another DVD or CD? Before you throw it out, try these repair hacks:

Scratch Fillers to Try:
  • Brasso metal polish
  • Pledge Furniture Polish
  • Vaseline
  • Car wax
  • CD and DVD repair kit sprays
  • Not recommended: Toothpaste (abrasive) Bananas or Peanut Butter (they just don't work)

Directions:
  • Apply small amount of wax or polish with a soft clean cloth (an eyeglass cloth works well)
  • Do NOT rub in a circular pattern. Carefully work it into the scratches and allow it to dry for a bit.
  • Buff the disk lightly going from the center of the circle to the outer edge in a straight line. Again, do not rub in a circular pattern.
  • Wipe off excess. May need to repeat the process 3-5 times
